Biden reacts to Trump Colorado ruling

President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that Donald Trump “certainly supported an insurrection” but that it was up to the courts to decide whether that disqualifies him from running for president. “I think it’s self evident” that Trump is an insurrectionist, Biden told reporters after stepping from Air Force One in Milwaukee, WI. Previously the White House and Biden campaign declined to weigh in on the Colorado Supreme Court ruling saying that Trump is disqualified from the 2024 primary ballot in that state because he engaged in insurrection. “Whether the 14th Amendment applies, I’ll let the court make that decision,” Biden said.

I love this. This is the difference between true patriots and trumpists.

You can have an opinion, you can defend your opinion, but you let the courts decide at the end and go with that ruling even if you disagree. Trump wouldn’t do that.

He said exactly what he SHOULD say. It's not the Executive Branch that makes the final ruling. It's the Judicial Branch. (The Legislative Branch already approved the 14th Amendment long ago, and cannot change that law again without bringing it to a vote in every single state in the union...and we all know that kind of change ain't gonna pass.)
