What drew me to Ronson's playing was that he was resolutely anti-shred. Never used a thousand notes when one would do - even sustained over several chord changes.

Mick Ronson is my idol... Totally fascinated by his work on Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, Transformer... I also heard that he started by learning the cello and that he had a classical background.
Such an incredible performer and arranger.
Thank you so much to show us these incredible riffs.

His music and arrangements will live forever. Love on Ya ! 🤟

I love lots of great lead breaks, but if I had to name the greatest lead break of all time, it would be (for me) Moonage Daydream. I always imagined the producer Tony Visconti saying 'play it like you think an alien would'

You’re getting a great sound brother. I find when doing Mick Ronson riffs I can only get that big sound, especially on things like Moonage Daydream, when I play in an open D tuning.

3:12 Both holding the cutlery British style, where they scoop the food onto the back of the fork with finesse and never drop a speck. So counterintuitive to American style🤔🤣

Well, as a blues lover, noone of these compares to Mick Taylor.

I don’t recall seeing him use his pinkie finger, am I wrong?
