What is the aseity of God, and why did this doctrine leave R.C. Sproul in awe? From one of our Ask Ligonier live events, Stephen Nichols expounds on the reality of God’s necessary existence.

I do remember RC used to get excited when he talked about this word. I’d never heard it before that but it makes a person want to stop and meditate on how amazing God is.
Not caring about this kind of teaching deprives oneself from knowing more about God and His attributes.
RC recommended a short book called “All that is in God” by James Dolezal. It’s a little bit technical but worth reading. Explains divine simplicity and the arguments today against it. God is simple not made up of parts or needing anything.🙏

I never heard that term before and now that I know it I’m thinking how on earth could have I not known it before now. It seems like such an essential aspect of how we understand God.

I believe that I've always in as sense understood this about God, but did'nt know the yrrm, what to call it or how to use it. We can now look up our new term in a good dictionary.

"What is the aseity of God?"

Looked it up on the Web. I had never heard or seen that word. But after reading what it means; and listening to this channel speaker; I am pleased to know that I understand the word. And why Jesus is the ONLY true God Almighty there will ever be.

With Jesus having 3 manifestation of God: "The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit". Where each one is exclusive. Yet they are all God. And that is why Jesus during creation; chose to make ALL humans a "image" of Himself.

Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Which means: the image is paralleled of Jesus' 3 manifestations: Our..."The Heart, The Soul and The Mind". Where the Father is our minds but NO power as Jesus. And the Son is our heart. But NOT with the unbelievable true Love He has. And the Holy Spirit is our Soul. But NOT able to be in different places at the same time. But we do have a link to Jesus through the HS that never gets a "busy"! Great too huh?

So we are a very small image of Jesus, who IS God. However, ON Judgment Day; the Born Again's WILL be married to Jesus in a" Heavenly Marriage"; where Jesus is the "Groom" and we are the "Bride". But we must remember this in the Creation; what Jesus did...

Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

So we will then become ONE with Jesus; ONLY not in the flesh. Rather a Spiritual being. Wow! And we then: will be Omnipotent, Omniscience and Omnipresent too. Forever and EVER. Where in...

Revelation 21:4 Jesus shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

For salvation, we just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in water for the removal of sins and filled with the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38!
Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead and walking in the newness of life. That's what Acts 2:38 is.
We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ...
Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man, be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD.
We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed.
One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans. Our salvation has to match up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away.
Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st, John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church.
It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction.
Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone.
Don't get Titus 3:5 mixed up with James 2:14-26, about WORKS. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS and the other is a WORK OF FAITH. Titus 1:16, They profess that they know God; but in WORKS they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. God bless you!

so many called god in this world, in judaism/rabinnic islm hindu pantheism etc = man idea, no proof, not revelation. the TRUTH: Bible call Him YHWH/IAM, The Only Real Reaveal Personal Eternal Living One, Saviour God by The Name JesusChrist Amen! 🙏
