Damn... I can understand Ben's perspective. I used to be a capable shooter and had the speed and touch to finish around the basket. But I wouldn't, coz I was afraid of looking terrible. I was afraid of being off and letting my team down. So I'd become a passer and rebounder. I was even afraid of fast breaks.

Thing is though, once I had enough opportunities, I got over some of my fears, which still creep in under pressure.. But things looked up once I stopped over thinking. Once I realized I could actually do it, I too could contribute. Everyone can miss too.

It's a hard thing to fight off tho ngl. A negative trait of a perfectionist

Ben Simmons needs to grow up and ignore the criticisms of other people in order to regain his confidence, or else it will really cost him his entire career. Hopefully, Ben Simmons sees this video and realizes his possible biggest regret: not developing a jumpshot.

Simmons' fear and lack of confidence is really costing the Sixers' disappointment. I honestly think that Ben should not think so highly of himself to the point he thinks he doesn't even try to shoot or even TRY TO CHANGE. Yes, his confidence is fragile, but the league won't for him to change. The game is now evolving and so should Ben Simmons. If he doesn't even submit to Pop's system in SAS if ever, there's gotta be something wrong in him
