Hey everyone!! Thank you so much for the support on this video! I’ve gotten a lot of questions about why I chose the characters I did, so I thought I should answer them here!

*Janis and Damien:* Kinda self-explanatory, Nino and Alya are the best friends in the show, so Nino and Alya are the best friends in this video/AU. Are they still gay? Are they still dating? Maybe, maybe not, maybe both! You decide!!

*Cady:* I went with Marinette because I think she fits kinda well with the story/dynamic. She falls head over heels for the love interest and stuff. I considered having Adrien take her place because he was actually new in school. I think it would have been interesting to have Marinette be Aaron (the love interest) because then that would mean Marinette had some history with Chloe. But in the end, I just went with Marinette because I wanted to hahah.

*Gretchen:* Again, sorta self-explanatory. Sabrina follows Chloe around and is like a little henchman who does all her dirty work.

*Regina:* Chloe is the queen bee, she’s already known by everyone and even though no one really likes her in the show, she still holds a lot of power because of her family’s status. I thought of maybe making Lila be Regina because she actually fits a lot of the traits that Regina has (she has everyone wrapped around her finger, she’s manipulative and willing to lie to get what she wants, etc.). But making Lila take this spot kinda made all the other characters fall apart? Sabrina and Chloe wouldn’t idolize/follow Lila around, so having Regina be Chloe just made more sense.

And finally, the one everyone’s asked about!!

*Karen:* I chose Aurore (aka Stormy Weather). I honestly don’t think Karen was actually a bad person, she’s just easily influenced by Regina and probably just became part of the mean girls because she was rich and pretty, so I thought Aurore might be a good fit bc she’s overall nice, but she was the first akumatized villain in the show. Also, Karen has ESPN or something and becomes a weather girl at the end of the movie, and Aurore is also a weather girl and in canon has low grades. I don’t really think that Lila fits the role of Karen. Lila is way too mean and manipulative and even though it could work in an AU where Lila was just pretending to be ditzy and it’s actually all just an act, I didn’t really want to do that?
Also, I’ve seen a couple people suggest that Karen could have been Adrien, and I LOVE that idea. I think it’s really funny, I’ve already seen some videos with Adrien as Karen and I love them a lot. I just thought Aurore would fit better for my video. And she's cute and I wanted to draw her.

I know Lila's usually the third mean girl in this type of thing, but I actually like the idea of her as Cady. She's the newcomer, absorbed into the social circle, except at the end, instead of realizing her mistakes, she takes over instead.

The fact that Sabrina is Gretchen for this is so perfect. She’s the holder of the dog miraculous and her last line of the song is literally “come sit with us tomorrow, it’ll be fetch!” FETCH. LIKE PLAYING FETCH WITH A DOG.

aurore as karen is perfect since karen, in the movie, wants to be a weather announcer (bc of her 'special talent' if yk yk) and aurore, in miraculous, is a weather announcer (i think)

Edit: Okay so after receiving several angry comments about this I have to address that yes, I misread the text and it does in fact say Gabriel, not Adrien. Trust me when I say that any further comments are just a waste of your time because I have definitely noticed by now. Please stop jumping on me, thank you very much.
