Great review as always! Wanted to share my thoughts after switching to the Z Flip 5 after using iPhone for the last 10 years. Been using the Z Flip 5 for the last few days:

1) Camera - compared to the 14pro, 14pro 48mp wide camera is better and telephoto is nice. But for everyday use and someone who is NOT an influencer/uses social media all the time - this is more than good enough.

2) The crease - you can feel and see the crease but honestly, just like the iphone notch, you forget about it. Most of the time your hands are closer to the bottom anyway.

3) Being able to use all the apps and respond to all my messages on the cover screen has significantly reduced how often i need to open the phone and end up doomscrolling. This was the main reason why I switched.

4) As a regular user (instagram here and there, texting, i also don't game) - battery life was comparable to iphone 13/14. I took it off the charger yesterday around 10:30am at 100% - it was around 30% when I went to bed around 12:30am and I just put it for charging now at 15% roughly 24h later. For me this is good enough.

Just got mine in today. Initially folding my phone was very awkward but now, I kinda love it! I was even trying to fold my old phone 😂 It's really nice being able to close my phone, you get a mental rest.

I appreciate the effort you put into filming in a variety of locations! Not only does it keep the video visually interesting, it really helps people like me who like to see how the phone looks in a variety of real locations. Sometimes it's hard to get a sense of the color of a device off the manfacturer's digital renders or someone reviewing inside their studio/bedroom.

I think it's worth mentioning that Samsung has an incredible trade in program regardless of what pgone you have which makes the price point more acceptable. For example, I was able to trade in mu flip 4 for $900 and all I had to pay was the difference plus tax of the original price which came out to be about $250 and free shipping.

Got the Fold 5 yesterday as my first Foldable. Great device and Im confident with the incremental durability of this 5th gen device. Oh, and the new s pen case is a must...great protection and not bulky at all.

I have been watching reviews of the flip for the past week and you are the first one that pointed out what I consider to be a major shortfall. I assumed wrongfully that it included DEX capability just like every other flagship and I had just confirmed you are correct by looking at my daughter's phone that I had just bought her. In this case, it doesn't really matter because she doesn't use that feature but it is still quite surprising and many people might be assuming it's there when making the purchase. We'll done Ella!

Watching this on my flip 5 flex window. What really surprised me the most is the battery life. I thought I would easily ran out of battery but noooo. It's all good for me so far and I'm loving new flip 5. It's really fun to use.

I hope modern phones do transition into this eventually, and I hope more phones like this keep appearing in the market and getting improved! the portability is amazing, especially for women's jeans. It's unbelievable that the tech industry cared more about this than the stupid fashion industry...like..for the love of God, why do I have to carry a freaking purse just to safely carry my phone? just because it won't fit in my pocket!

I know they probably were not thinking on women's jeans specifically, but still..

switched from an iphone 13 to this and my god am i loving it. got a nice pixel art icon pack to go with the retro gaming aesthetic im going with for my wallpaper, the customisability is insane, and i love using the flex window as well. the battery life has been very good too, better than i had originally thought.
