Flex-Band - Grade 2-3
Composed in 1925 by Spanish composer Jaime Texidor, this attractive, moderately paced march (paso doble) has a proven long-lasting appeal and musicality. Authentically adapted here by James Curnow, this version for flexible instrumentation will sound great for virtually any occasion.

I remember playing this in high school over 50 years ago. Always liked this song.

It's great to hear this excellent paso doble being performed at a sensible march tempo. Thank-you! 🙂👍

Beautiful. Just beautiful. Ideal for dancing. Not so much for military marching but who wants to... ?LOL. Actually sounds ideal for the original intended marching (besides dancing) which was for sun roasted Spanish Summer afternoon popular "pasacalles", when nobody wants to collapse fast marching after a paella and red wine. Thanx from Barcelona.

I really like this version. It sounds like the tempo is being pushed a little bit at a time which is awesome. Do you think you guys can do Toccata for Band?

the times I've played this, its always so fast, this seems a little slow to my liking but very fun as always

Good precision in this performance. I wonder if it might be enhanced with more contrast in the dyanics and stronger use of crescendos.

El tiempo es perfecto. No sé por qué las bandas americanas lo tocan tan rápido. Así está muy bien.

It's not a march, it's a pasodoble.

I wonder why you changed the author's name to Jamie when it's Jaime. As if it weren't enough with the endless debates in Spain about being Jaime or Jaume and Texidor or Teixidor. Spanish or Valencia-Catalan. Or was this a way to settle in the middle?. Like let's make him English...LOL
