I’d guarantee that if you were to ask the average person what spirit means they’ll have no clue what it means and its purpose. Spirit means breath, air, wind. It comes from the word spirare. Breathing is your life force that helps you live and maintains your well being. Without it you’ll die, it’s omnipresent energy can’t been seen, however, you can feel it bringing power to your mind, body, spirit and soul. Every moment you’re breathing, even when you’re asleep, you’re in tune with the unseen forces of the unknown creator and nature itself whether you’re conscious of it or not. What religion does is bind the persons mind, body, spirit, and soul. It keeps one to look outward and not inward spirituality though lets you know that you’re a divine being having a Devine human existence/experience. You’re living energy (light, frequencies, etc.) and made of the elemental forces of the universe. People who are religious are bound to the book and only have beliefs and hope rather than to think and to know (knowledge). They don’t question what they’re being told for it was made by design to do that they take every verse in the bible literally. Lastly, holy bible comes from Helios (halo, helium, sun) and Biblos meaning book, books are made of paper the root word of paper is papyrus the kemetic/egyptian word for paper. Ion know if he answered the question, but I took being spiritually literate as being able to hear the spirit and what it is saying to you. The Bible in a sense confirms what the spirit has already told us or attempting to tell us. Helping someone be spiritually literate in my opinion is helping them to apply the Bible in their own life using it as a blueprint; not using it verbatim. That way we will understand how God divinely created us in his image. Therefore, no religion, pastor, motivational speaker, rapper, etc can guide our lives without us thinking for ourselves.
