I did exactly what you did on your video, my phone is unable to move apps to the ext2. Looks like my phone does't recognize or see the ext2, but it is able to recognize the FAT32 one. I tried to read the sd with my laptop through the memory card reader, and I couldn't see. I used the mini tool software to check it out, and it tells me that the sd card is a "Bad Disk. Please need help.

Thank you, Waqas, for this info and the MTPW app suggestion!! You might consider updating your instructions to reflect a couple procedural changes in v7.6. Thanks again.

it could be due to bad card, or faulty card reader. You should try a different card reader / card jacket . if problem persists, you should consider it formatting or changing the card.

Yes you can apply, but it may slow down your phone after some time. its good practice to keep it under 1 gb . You can do experiment, only if you want.

change the card reader or if you are using card jacket change that too. If the problem stays, you need to format your sd card using any utility. you also could have a bad sd card.

Sharma you gotta give me more detail, I don't understand what exactly your question is. Are you talking about internal partitions of the phone?, because every phone has a different partition size .

It can be due to faulty card or faulty card reader. Did you flash a custom kernel before using link2sd ?? If you have created partition successfully then you should be able to see the partition in minitool, if not then procedure is not done accurately.

sometimes this happens. Either delete that extra partition and extend or just do the whole process and make with different size.

You need a custom rom or cutom kernel which will enable init.d option. then you can put ext script in there . its a complex procedure, it will be better if you flash a custom rom with darkmoer ext2sd enabled. Otherwise there is no use of partition .

Yes you can revert, by using the same tool and same method . you can not see ext partitions in Windows . ext is linux formate .

Thanks for your reply. But the ROM I installed in my phone has app2sd script already, it should mount the ext2.

what is your error?? if you are unable to resize you must change card reader or try it with a separate sd card.

is it necessary to have a fat partition or can I just delete all partitions and make one big ext2 partition?

The only thing I need is to be able to put files bigger than 4GB on the card. I just tried creating a ext2 partition as described in your video but my device won't mount it. I also tried NTFS Mount app but that doesn't work either.

I don't want to put any apps or anything on the SD, just media. And I need to be able to put files bigger than 4GB on it.

Why is not good to do this procedure the phone connected straight to the PC?

After following this and clicking Apply, Windows popped up with a window: Card is not a readable format. Would you like to Format card now? Of course I said no. Now whenever I try to put the card on the phone, link2sd does not ask which format to use and the phone it's says the card is blank. If I try to format it just says card is blank, while heating up the back of the phone. I mean really hot. Any ideas?

Are these okay steps: Format SD card. Create Partition with fat32 primary, and 1gb of unallocated space. Create another partition, primary ext4.
Finish.

Would that work for an ext4 partition
