With the relaxing music and wholesome vibes I’ve decided Tito is the “Mr. Rogers of Retro” - this is a good thing.

This is the way. Releasing all the files so PCBWay or other manufacturers can basically build it. I hope this trend catches on.

All the piece of mine are on the way, including a completely built board by jack makes, except for the lense that I'm waiting for froggo to drop again. I seriously can't wait. This has been a dream of mine since I was a child to have the smaller gameboy that places original carts and uses original chips etc. I love it! Thanks for showcasing it!

Tito, I am going to be offline for the next two years, and I wanted to say thanks for being the best channel for retro consoles and bringing knowledge of these beloved devices to the rest of us. You got me into gamecube modding and I have found a wonderful hobby in modifying, restoring, and repairing old consoles and technology. But anyway, I'll be back in two years, can't wait to see what I can catch up on.

See ya around, Tito.

This is super cool, but I hate that you have to cannibalize TWO devices. I'd take a thicker case that accommodated the cart connector from a GBC.

cons: expensive. pros: looks fantastic

Its incredible that modders can do this, but I just don't see the appeal? Also I love modding, really enjoy just how creative and ingenious people can still be with hardware thats now approaching the 30 year mark within the next few years, but does anybody hate the fact that theres a limited number of these out there and people just sacrifice that original hardware for whats essentially just a gimmick at this point?

It is so so cool to see what can be done with small batch pcb printing nowadays.

When will all this stop? How many more do you want me to buy? XD

I've never understood why so many two button console projects use the up-right ba angle when up-left ab is superior. Having both buttons at the natural holding angle of your thumb and without having to roll is just better imo

Wonder if there could be anyway to make a Rev1 and run the audio into the usb c and rely on a dongle somehow to replicate the headphone jack

The Gameboy modding community is as impressive as it is insane. Y'all will literally engineer sci-fi technology to avoid emulation.

No shade thrown. The Gameboy was my first console, and I probably wouldn't be a game designer if not for my experience with it. I genuinely love how much dedication the community has for the games and hardware.

I really wish all these creative people would make BIGGER versions of old handhelds, so my almost 50 year old eyes can actually see stuff.
