Dyson are the worst and very expensive vacuums. I'm a professional cleaner and many of my clients have the Dyson cordless vacuum that keep dying. Or have the Dyson upright that get stuck on carpets. So I always have to carry my cheap but very helpful Shark Rocket. Powerful, very affordable, easy to use underneath furniture. Corners.

With two cats, vacuuming slowly became my personal arch enemy when it comes to cleaning my place. I'm so close to just get a Dyson at this point but on the other hand I'd like a Xbox series x or a giant bag of weed as well. Tough decisions to make. Life is hard.

Edit: Btw I decided for the Dyson and haven't looked back. Who needs weed when vacuuming suddenly takes the addicting part in your life

the best vacuum available to buy in 2022 is / was the Miele C3.... period. Or maybe a Sebo if you're looking for a lesser known brand,

you should absolutely consider the newer box-shaped cordless shop vacs from the major cordless power tool brands (makita, milwaukee, dewalt, rigid, bosch). they're durable enough for skilled trades work, they do wet/dry vacuuming, you can generally switch the hose to the output to use it as an air mattress inflator. great thing to have in the garage/shop, but everyone will want to grab it for spot cleaning in the house as well

I have a Roborock, and the resons i choose it over iRobot, and you failed to mention is lidar compared to camera, which means it can work in the dark, it is much much quiter, app is way better, and on top of everything the price is lower.

Other reviews have already debunked the Dyson "dirt detect" display. Not sure why you chose to not test it with different sized debris.

I'm searching for a vaccum for my elderly mum. It would have to be lightweight, should have bagless cylinder that can be dragged. Don't like the cylinder attached to the stick as that's weight to carry. Need it for hard floor. Any recommendation?
