Just keep plugging away with the tank, might take a while but it’ll be worth it, I bought a1973 dt175 Yamaha & the whole bike was in decent shape for a 50 year old bike, but the inside of the tank was a real mess, I filled it with evaporust but it just couldn’t take off the black staining on the floor of the tank, so I bought some de-ox-c & made up a very strong solution & it took another 2 weeks to remove the staining, washed it out with distilled water & it’s now done, after some fettling & a change of carburettor, & a set of clutch friction plates, it now runs really well

JT, I still have my original 1973 Suzuki TS250 (mine was the orange one) and there is no side cover on the battery side just FYI.

Is there anyway I can contact you ? I’m looking to get my ‘85 Honda 125 atc 3 wheeler gas tank repainted . I also have a few other 3 wheelers that need work . Thank you .
