This channel looks at Plato's dialogues with an eye on the continuity of thought that runs through all of them.

In this video, I diagram the twelve Olympian gods of Plato's dialogue Phaedrus. The scheme that I give in this video is based on the one presented by Proclus in his Theology of Plato.

My name is Mindy Mandell. I have been interested in Platonism for over 20 years. I am the author of Discovering the Beauty of Wisdom: Embracing Mysticism Through the Ancient Path of Greek Philosophy, ISBN 978-1898910-725.

Dear Mindy your lessons are fantastic! I am certainly going to get a copy of your book! I have a question, and I hope I can ask in a way that makes sense.

Would it be correct if within the very center of the triadic structure would be “The One”? And then at top green section “Nous”- Then at left Red section “Logos”- Then at right Blue section “Pneuma”? Would this make sense within the triadic model?

Hi Mindy, thanks for the video. How are we to think of the three Governing Gods as they relate to the three triads? What I mean is, in what sense do they relate to their triads without preventing them from being triads and becoming triangular pyramids, or is it correct to visualize them as triangular pyramids? Thanks

no way...it is all relative ...we all know there is no truth...and that is the truth...
