"we removed a chunk of his brain and he changed"

"If you remove a huge part of a person's brain, it changes their personality and emotional reactions." - Shocking! Who woulda thunk it! 😳

This makes me all the more grateful how i came out of my trauma’s.

Had a weird fever when I was young. Epilepsy started in the years after that, had many seizures, enough to damage the brain by itself. Later had left temporal lobe and bits of the hippocampus and amygdala removed. Now doing great, although I have permanent limitations of course, mostly in how much information and stress my brain can handle in a day.

I have suffered a lot of trauma to my brain from injuries due to what i raised to be. Im 41 and not that person anymore but my head bears the scars of a lifetime of violence. Ive been stabbed in the head 7 times with, screwdriver, hit with bricks, had my head stamped on. Ad to that a lot of self harm to try and stop my ptsd. Anyway in 2020 i had a car accident and suffered yet another serious concussion. That was the straw that broke the camels back, my memory was ruined, i forgot how to use a knife and fork, those who knew me say I'm not the same person. I wouldn't know I'm just me, id never tiuched alcohol prior and i now drink. I lead a very simple life now but i remember i didn't used to and never in a million years would i have been happy with the lifestyle i now have. The brain is a strange thing we don't consider the long term impact of head injury we just treat the immediate. Would i want to be how i was honestly i don't think so people like the person i was i can't stand now the only thing i wish i could change is the people i hurt and the people i lost.

After my TBI in 2017, i lost my ability to recognise family and things around me. That "child-like" state of being distracted by everything, fascinated as though everything were 'new', putting things in your mouth or smelling them to 'discover' about them... maybe i need to ask my neurologist about this.

This isn't to different from how I felt after 6 grand mal seizures. Thankfully even though I still don't really know "who I am" it's much better. I have brain damage on my amygdala and hippocampus. Been a wild ride. Would stare at a blank TV for hours, had no idea what a phone was, it goes on and on like this.

I had my head smashed in as a kid, had concussion induced amnesia. It took me over a year to learn everything back, thank God I was only four and my brain fixed itself.

Jesus christ, I'm so glad they don't just take parts of your brain out if they're acting up anymore.

Love your channel! I just want to say thank you for ACTUALLY speaking in your vids. I can't watch and really enjoy a video being read by a computer.

So cutting out a person's temporal lobes turns them into an amnesiac meat robot with an insatiable appetite.

Cutting out chunks of someones brain is as brutal and barbaric as it gets.

With Rabies being my absolute worst nightmare viral infection, any type of neurological degenerative disease, disorder or dysfunction is something I fear most. The loss of what essentially makes me who I am as a human being, loss of basic functions and independence keeps me up at night. The Rabies virus, which is undetectable until the symptoms become known, and at that point is too late to treat and is 100% fatal, freaks me out! I would rather die than suffer any similar fate to this. What’s the point of being alive if you’re without a soul or presence to others? Nope

I fell asleep to this after waking up to pee at 5 AM (don’t ask my why I picked this video) and had the first ‘nightmare’ I’ve had in many years in which I was barely able to move, very confused, and scared. I was home alone with my rifle but couldn’t figure out how to load it and someone was trying get inside my house.

I am so sick of seeing those AI generated images, but far worse than that are the channels that use AI narration 🤢
