Edgar Froese was one of the most underrated guitarists ever, and Tangerine Dream one of my favorite artists. Their music could take you on a trip like nothing else could. RIP Edgar.

Another 😊😁 😁 classic from my go to band. Since 1975 I've been listening to Thier stuff stoned and still happy. It's all good 👍 friends

I remember listening to this in high school, 1987. I'd been a big TanDream fan since around '84. I found one other classmate who'd heard of it and we hit it off. He passed away shortly after. Green Desert will forever remind me of him.

i get my first Tangerine Dream LP 37 years ago...i have loved since then different kinds of music but i had allways in my mind that Tangerine Dream is the milestone of the music for the visionist of the future

sweet. One thing to play at that level, but what amazes me is the ability of the artist to covey their emotion so perfectly, T.D. are masters, exceptional craftsmen, Thanks again R.W. you rock.

I used to play this tape to DEATH ( ! ) when I was in college and it was often the the background music to my studying as well as whenever I was driving . I wish more people know about Tangerine Dream

Utterly superb
The first 9 minutes of GD sound like Pink Floyd
Just brilliant

This is great; very early Pink Floydish for those of us old enough to remember

Fascinating, how green desert came to life ! Admit, its one of their best, equally it sounds more than a Froese solo album...i enjoy the real drum works of Chris, who was a real genius on drums, fantastic for this kind of music ! Great guitar, simple and melodic ! All together made a fine album ;)

This album, which I love, feels a bit like Force Majeure to me at times. They are two of my favorite albums by TD. Kind of the nexus of 70s into 80s and both done by just Franke and Froese and feature acoustic drums and just the right amount of guitar. Great, timeless sounding records. Understanding more about the history of Green Desert it makes sense to me now.

It's a great album, I really liked it. Very atmospheric music. When I listened to this album, I imagined myself sitting on the beach.

the bass from the intro reminds me of an JU-52 overflight on a hot summer day. the doppler effect from the rotor sounds and the shadow glides over the ground

Got this for birthday some year in the 80's (mind gets mushy once you hit 50). I used to put it on and go to sleep, or try, I'd usually end up with awesome and complex half dream / half daydream.

Man is this psychedelic 70's German sht cool. Thanks for uploading. My original vinyl copy was stolen by my step dad. I had found it in 1990 at a used record shop in downtown Monterey CA before anyone knew about this stuff and before the ease of internet.

Love Edgar’s guitar ... the album reminds me of Macula Transfer ...

I like the album too. The tracks sound really like a "hybrid", a mixture of instruments (analogue synthesizer) from the seventies and the ones which sound like on the Poland concert double CD. I believe Edgar Froese reworked the titles with some additional sounds like he did on "heritage survival" for instance. But one thing is clear, the music (LP's) from the Duo Chris Franke and Edgar Froese are some of the best from Tangerine Dream. Force Majeure and Underwater Sunlight are amazing in my opinion. Maybe is the most music material from Tangram (produced by Franke/Froese) also by both. Thank you for all your many uploads.

Thanks for explaining the different album covers. I know this by the other cover. Wish this had gotten more airplay in the 80s. It's timeless and light years ahead of other electronika.
