Went shopping at Save on foods yesterday. Looked at buying ribeye steaks. One Canadian steak $19.50 or three Australian ribeyes for $23.27. Spoke to the butcher and he said Australia is trying to break into the Canadian market.

There is no way to be a successful manufacturer in Canada. The cost of living / everything makes it impossible to compete with Amazon, Alibaba and all other world trade. Our Country can't afford to have a GDP. This is a problem that has existed in Canada for decades when our housing / real-estate market became an ocean of fraud and investor greed.

I want to like Polievre. He generally makes sense on the issues he says wants to prioritize to fix to improve Canadians lives, and get the debt under control. . But Polievre still plans to support foreign wars and will be wasting billions needed here for Investment just like Trudeau has done. How many conservative voters will tell him they don’t want that burden? Not many I suspect.
He has very publicly committed to this, and I don’t like it.

It would be easier to trust somebody if they wouldn’t talk out of both sides of their mouth about putting Canadians first. My concern is that once h is office he will do what Canadian politicians usually do. Just serve their donor class, and only pay lip service to public needs if it actually costs them something.
Nonetheless, we dont really have much of choice. I just hope Canadians keep their eyes focused on him closely and let him have it if he doesn’t follow through on his promises once elected.
