Saint Peter’s 2022 NCAA Tournament Highlights (Cinderella Run)

The Saint Peters Peacocks took the world by storm with their miraculous Cinderella run. The Peacocks, who have less resources than any men’s team in the country, can now hang their hats on the greatest Cinderella run in March Madness history. They defeated juggernaut Kentucky in the round of 64, ended Murray State’s 21 game win streak in the round of 32, and upset top 10 ranked Purdue to the Sweet Sixteen!

Something sports fans will be talking about for a long time. So glad I was alive watching the ride.

It was unfortunate that really St. Peter’s had an off game against North Carolina while the Tar Heels got hot but still this is one of the all time tournament runs by anybody I’ve seen. Oral Roberts and Florida Gulf Coast were good in their own ways but it was something different with this St. Peter’s team.

As an indiana fan any team that beats 2 seed Kentucky and 3 seed Purdue will always be very near and dear to my heart.

It’s just crazy because you normally don’t see the really high seeds like Saint Peter’s sustain their level of play in multiple close games against the heavy favorites. But from the start, even when being down 6 to Kentucky with under 3 min left, they somehow stayed alive and won in OT. Upsets just don’t usually seem to happen in that way

I hate to admit it, but I was sorta shocked to see UNC knock off St. Peter’s. I expected St. Peter’s to win…UNC had a mediocre ACC season last year. They just got hot towards the end.

I like how when they beat Kentucky there wasn’t some huge celebration like it was a miracle. It was business as usual because they never doubted themselves. On to the next one

UNC finished in 6th. place in the ACC during the regular season last year, not sure where their long run to the championship game came from. 🤷🏼‍♂️

lol almost every shot from the Kentucky game was a prayer. You can tell by how they reacted to them going in 😂😭. Game of their lives and now shaheen not making the tournament at seton hall and all these guards are working at footlocker
