As a New Home Consultant. Rosemary you are correct. I see some of the biggest mistakes a Realtor makes while showing new construction. I was a general Realtor before working for a builder and I can tell you it is a very different animal than selling in the resale market. So many times a Realtor doesn’t know the product, ask questions in front of the client that doesn’t make them look favorable to the client. I can tell you a host of things not to do when showing New Construction that I see done everyday that is costing Agents sales. As NHC we hold a real estate license we don’t get a salary and we don’t get a bonus if the client doesn’t use an agent. Too many times a Realtor has the mind set of us vs them instead of working with the NHC as a team.
