Blurb Trade Book Review and Blurb Photo Book Review

My very first blurb trade book! I've ordered blurb photo books in the past but this time I went another direction. The blurb photo book is a great option for when it comes to self publishing and distributing your photo book but they can also be expensive. Trade books are what I'm finding to be a great alternative for advertising yourself while also creating another stream of passive income.

Your books look great. I did a test of Blurb's magazine format and softcover book and the color was nearly identical. I might even give a slight advantage to the magazine, which is like a third the cost. I'd be curious about the difference between the standard color and economy color trade book so I hope you do a video on that too!

what ICC Profile do you use? there's a blurb ICC profile available but how can one same ICC Profile use for both magazine, tase book and photo book in standard and economy options? Do you thin the default US WEB COTED SWOP V2 in indesign and other program will do the job as well?

Not sure if you might know. But I’m looking at creating a 7x7 photo book and I’m using the basic template that lays out the photos horizontally or vertically without crop. Do you think this would make the photos too small? I can use fit to page but then they’ll all be square and cuts off some important details. Your video is really good! Thanks!

This was a good review, thank you for sharing it with us. I was hesitant about going for trade book style photo book, but seeing your prints actually convinced me. to move into that direction. I was always fan of the uncoated and matt paper paper types, so this would fit just well what I'm about to do with my stuff. :) Thank you again for sharing this. _\\//

That helped out a lot, thank you! i was thinking about doing a blurb fiction/photo book...a PDF upload. I tried Page Publishing and they did a great job, I got it published, but it costed a lot...plus the grammar issues were so bad, I think I paid to cover up the issues...anyways the book if interested is Titled (Smoking by the River) written by Brendon Holden.
