House passes bill that could give Puerto Rico statehood

Puerto Rico’s status is a decision of the Puerto Rico people and is presently an unconstitutional one why if it’s a bipartisan act is it you say is not expected to pass by the senate ?? I would like to know

Puerto Ricans voted to become a state so they should become a state.

In fact, I believe that Puerto Rico's status as a US territory will help the island economically, as residents of Puerto Rico will have access to all that the other US states have to offer.
Since Puerto Rico is still a part of the United States, the United States is actually still defending the island and providing for its economic needs.
In my opinion, the US's decision to declare Puerto Rico a state is beneficial since it will enable the US to fully preserve the island's economy. As a result of new states that will bring in more money for the nation and make Puerto Rico a thriving state, the United States will ultimately be more wealthy. Both the USA and Puerto Rico will be prosperous It's a win-win decision for me.

Free association is the way to go. It is independence with a treaty with the United States similar to that of the Pacific Island sovereign states of the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau. However Puerto Ricans living on the island would lose US citizenship though as the island would no longer be a US territory.
