Not the “perfect” way to pack a beach cooler.

1) pre-chill cooler with ice before day of event
2) load chilled drinks into pre-chilled cooler (if you want bottled water, just put them in freezer so they are partially frozen with maybe several fully frozen
3) get the pelican 14 qt because it has a tray to keep your sandwiches etc from getting soggy (also - it doesn’t look like you are using all the internal space of cooler for items. Coolers will work better if you use most of internal volume and follow 2 parts ice to 1 part content ratio. Use freezer packs to supplement ice for even better ice retention. Place them at bottom under first layer of drinks
4) try not to have cooler open to long as you use it because all your precious cold air is being replaced with hot air.
5) if you can - keep cooler in shade and even out of hot car
