Use dollar tree cutting mats to make template’s. You can cut with heavy scissors. They hold up much better than cardboard and come 2 per package.

If you use a hair dryer on the glued on wood pieces and gently lift with a putty knife the glue softens and they should pop right off. But be gentle! So much easier to paint or trace! Good luck! Great video! Love the idea of the bases for the fabric figurines 😴❤️🥰

excellent idea of using the wood pieces as templates. I buy cookies cutters at the end of the season for 90% off for the same purpose. I keep them in a big glass jar when not in use.

Oh my yes! i have been collecting the wooden shapes for awhile now got a bunny, scotty dog, unicorn, star, alphabets and more.seeing your wooden shapes maple leaves nice.They make the best templates for applique.

I’d try photocopying the wooden items if small enough so that you have the outline and an electronic copy saved to your computer.
