Fascinating but I wonder if so many people would do it if they watched this first! The section from 0:17 looks particularly terrifying as surely people must occasionally slip at this point? I expect the chain is there (unlike at some points) but I wouldn't want to rely on that saving my life!

For visitors from overseas, how is this permit lottery chance going to be? Aint it a bit unfair for tourists from far away who can't just easily "come back another day"? You pay like 800€ for a flight and then find out you lost at the day before lottery or you try every year the seasonal lottery before booking a flight and postpone the trip if you lost the lotter? How do you advise to do it?

How was the way down? I'm personally scared of heights so I'm on the fence entirely

how did you find a time to go when there was no one else around?!? When I visited there in May 2019 it was wall to wall people, which made it actually quite dangerous and a frustrating experience.
