Chicken drumsticks with moroccan flavors
* chicken drumsticks
* garlic
* yellow onion
* red onion
* parsley
* water
* salt & pepper
* turmeric
* saffron
* paprika powder
* ginger powder
* ground cinnamon
* 1/2 tsp ghee
* olive oil
1. Mix together parsley and garlic cloves in a food processor with a little water
2. Add the spices and saffron - mix
3. Marinate the chicken drumsticks and let rest in the fridge for at least 1 hour
4. Saute finely chopped yellow and red onion in a large pot with olive oil
5. Add the chicken drumsticks and a little hot water
6. Add the ghee - cover and let cook on medium heat for about 45 minutes or until the chicken drumsticks are done
7. Remove the chicken and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Roast in the oven for about 20 minutes at 200 degrees or until they get a nice color
8. Let the sauce simmer until it thickens while the chicken is in the oven
9. Serve with roasted almonds and homemade bread
