MacBook Air M1 space grey unboxing in 2022. This is my unbox and first impressions of the MacBook Air M1 in space grey color. I decided to buy Apple's MacBook M1 (2020) version instead of their latest MacBook Air M2 chip laptop because the M1 chip version seems to be better value out of the two for my laptop needs, and I'm going to be mostly using it for video editing.

lve had my m1 MacBook air since February and its a pretty good computer, at some point I do plan on getting another one with higher specs, cause I got the one with the base storage and memory

I’m selling my early 2015 Air, because the storage is full and most of all I absolutely hate the non Retina display.

Back then it was not an issue, but since we’ve become so spoiled with all the super detailed screens, I’m just not taking it anymore.

I always hate apple for saying “this new laptop is better then ever, it’s THE one you MUST get”

So I was a little hesitant to go for the M1, just because of that.

But I’m just using it for school (that’s just essays and such, no difficult video or sound editing )

Did I just save myself (in my case euros) €420. Or should I have gone with the M2?
Normally apple supports their MacBooks quite some years with compatible iOS’es right?
