This really felt like yesterday. I remember during its first few weeks, even after school, that I would be waiting on the platform just to ride this thing.

Wow that thing has a heck of a turning radius! I operate Calgary Transit's version of Muni's S200. There a nice train but we are still working on many bugs. Thanks for sharing!

2006 was the first Siemens train that went into service

Boston eh. I lived in Boston and Brookline from 1979-2008. Remembered the Blue Birds and Red Birds on the redline. I lived right off of the C line of the Greenline for most of the time. Fondly remember the Picture Window PCC cars.

Can you get some footage of BART’s fleet of the future since they are now in service

Which train sounds better at starting up? Breda or the Siemens

I subscribed to your channel!! Will muni replace the older existing fleet of trains with new ones?

Yuck. I bet people complained about losing forwards/backwards seats, just like here in Chicago. Our next new L car order includes such seats again--because people have *hated* sitting sideways, squeezed together.

Seating arrangement lousy, that irritating "cricket" noise on door closing, the repeatitive destination announcements, and the "screaming" dynamic breaking and starting system...with all that in mind...give me a good old PCC Car!!!!

I do not like those hard, longitudinal bench seats. When I grew upin Boston we had subway cars dubbed "bluebirds" (cause they had a blue, gold, white and gray livery) which had these type of seats and when the train braked or accelerated people would tend to slide forward or backwards on the seat.

Plus, those warning beepers are super annoying.

How I hate those longitudinal seats. This is transportation for the huddled masses.
