How to Attach Files in Gmail?

On your computer, open Gmail.
Click Compose.
Click Attach Attach.
Choose the files you want to upload.
Click Open.

Tip: You can also add an image by dragging and dropping it into the compose window.

After you add an attachment, you can remove it. To the right of the attachment name, click Close Close.
Attachment size limit

You can send up to 25 MB in attachments. If you have more than one attachment, they can't add up to more than 25 MB.

If your file is greater than 25 MB, Gmail automatically adds a Google Drive link in the email instead of including it as an attachment. The person you send the file to can download it so they'll have access to it even if you remove it from Google Drive.

If you get an error message while adding an attachment, try these steps:

Make sure you're using a supported browser.
Try adding the attachment in another browser.
If you have a web browser proxy set up, try disabling it.
