They’re from México, they’re so dope 🇲🇽💕 Most people would call this “Rock en Español” literally “Rock in Spanish” but it specifically carries the connotation of an 80’s post-punk/new wave/Latin American fusion. It’s really cool to hear the AfroIndigenous influence in the rhythm of the breakdown, gets me every time 😊 glad you’re enjoying their music!

I love watching old YouTubers/streamers (I say it with respect, I am not very young) and even more so if they are rockers because they grew up listening to the best era of music. By the way Caifanes is my favorite band

Latin América its not considered Spanish music, Spain and latín América speak Spanish language, but Spain and Mexico and all the other latin american countries have different cultures and music since they combine with different indigenous cultures. So yea, all latin america countries have different sounds in their Rock.

Latin American music is not considered Spanish music, Latin American is a morph between the instruments used by the Mayan and Aztecs and the instruments bought by the mass k1lling machine from Europe but, the Mexican resiliency continues defying the occupation even in the music to this day. Caifanes are the best live, you must see them live and translate the lyrics, they're meaningful.

Spanish are latin like French, Italian, Portuguesse... even Rumanian... But we (im mexican, like the band Caifanes) all called latinos in America are esencially Spanish or Iberoamericanos (includding Brazil). Latin was a term introduced by french in 19th century during its invasions to some spanish countries like Mexico.
