Luocha's buff removal is kind of clutch at times. By no means is that the reason why you should roll for him over somebody like Aventurine, but I'd be lying if I didn't say it's nice to have.

Anyway, people just roll for who you want. Iyo is right in a sense that the meta is steering you towards the new characters, but at the same time, me using the revamp of the ancient hyper carry Seele team still clears MOC 12 pretty comfortably. Hell, Seele helped me clear the Follow Up focused Pure Fiction. So really you can do what you want man. Take what the youtubers say as advice but don't treat it like it's the gospel unless you really want to.

As someone who got Kafka / BS team and no ice dps I will definitely go with Jingliu. She does well with the Simulated Universe LC and I rather pull for 2 characters than pull for Acheron and her LC

Of course you shouldn't count on this, but Acheron's first rerun will probably be much sooner than a year. A majority of the limited five stars in HSR have had their first rerun four patches after release (Luocha, JY, and FX were the exceptions so far). Also, even though Raiden Shogun reruns annually in Genshin now, her first rerun was four patches after her release. So while Jingliu might not come back again for another year after this rerun, Acheron will likely be back around 2.5.

The biggest curse of someone who came into the game in 1.6 lured by the free Ratio is that now it feels like it would be foolish not to prioritize building a team around him and get aventurine and wait for topaz and then a harmony. But Acheron looks very cool and everyone interested in the game heard about Jingliu....2.1 could have been worse choice wise only if they put Fu Xuan there because it would have meant automatically go for her.

My problem rn iss my team 1 is usually
Jingliu, bronya, pela, huohuo
2nd team
Ratio, topaz, ruan mei, lynx.

There is no world where adventurine isnt a crazy enormous upgrade for my team 2. If I pull archeron it splits up my team one and I dont have silverworlf or Kafka.

Even w all the videos I'm so fkn torn. I love archeron design. But it really bones me and I'd have to spend 6 months building 4 star alternatives for my team 2.

I'm so glad I whaled for luochad on his 1st banner. No I can safely pull whoever I want. And still have luochad on every single of my teams because I like the design

Lynx is overrated imo. I have her E2, level 80 with traces level 7 and good relics and she couldn't sustain me through MoC 10-12 full stars. The cleanse is really nice but her healing numbers are low and she's SP neutral as her continuous healing and ultimate aren't enough to keep alive in harder fights. I also don't find her Aggro buff to be that great. Yes, it works, but it's not 100% aggro by any means. I picked up Luocha this patch and he's got me full clearing MoC now so I definitely think he's a great sustain option. Extremely SP positive and super easy to play. His dispel buffs and imaginary breaking are also great in a pinch.

i really like the point about how jingliu teams are reaching their ceiling - like once we figured out the Blade + Jingliu combo, idk how else we can improve it LMAO but yeah acheron definitely can still keep getting better and better in the future!

Bailu can revive a ally that is correct, that ally can also be auto killed straight after by the enemy.

The problem for me isn’t between jingliu and Acheron(already got jingliu) for me it’s between Acheron and either luocha/aventurine🤧

Your comment about Star Rail going more team oriented, is something i realized since Kafka release. Or Topaz being extremely good for follow-up teams. This makes the game more F2P friendly, because you ONLY need one specific 5-star and can fill the rest of the Team with 4-stars and still be good.

Siiiigh. Luocha is not suddenly somehow F-tier simply because he doesn't directly buff his teammates. F-tier implies a completely unusable, pointless and powerless unit that can not do anything whatsoever under any circumstances and genuinely never provides any value to you in any conceivable scenario. THAT is what an F-tier unit would be.

Just because I'll be missing out on HuoHuo's energy regen and ATK% buff does not mean I suddenly can't clear content anymore. And I have HuoHuo E1 on my alt account, I know how good she is. I also have Fu Xuan E1 on my main account. I'm just really annoyed at all these videos that massively exaggerate the importance of sustains that buff teammates. Luocha is fine and he is most definitely not F-tier. And I'd much rather pull for him than the whale-bait Acheron character who is way too reliant on her signature light cone to reach her potential.

Wish I did more research before grinding the hell out of the game for luocha, but at the same time he is probably the best survivability pick for my inhibitor lunae so I don’t regret him all too much
