Inspired by a gift one of our customers sent to Jen, the pocket prayer is a special token of love and peace. Keep it with you in your pocket or bag as a reminder of God's love for you. These make great gifts that you can send to your loved ones.

Jen shows you two mini quilts, and shares tips for making them turn out beautifully. You'll love and quickly and easily they come together.

Mini Quilts finish to approximately 2" x 2".

I make a lot of baby quilts and now I’ll be adding a prayer quilt square from the same material for the new mom. I will also be adding a little cross inside every quilt I make from now on. I’ve always prayed as I sew and piece the quilt together for the person I’m making the quilt for....asking God to wrap them in His loving care and to give them peace and comfort. So inspire! Thank you!!!!

Dear Jen, I have been making these prayer quilts like crazy. So far I bet that I have made around 200 quilts and have given them all away. I have gotten very positive feed back for these. Thank your customer and you for sharing this great project.

Thank you for this tutorial! It is perfect for our little mission called Sweet Child of Mine (we make infant gowns, blankets, etc. for babies that don't make it home from the hospital). We are making these little pocket quilts out of the same fabric of the baby's gowns so that the mother has a piece of the fabric to keep. Your tutorial will bless many.

I've made and will continue to make these for my fellow police dispatchers. They loved them! I'm so grateful for this idea and pattern. It feels great making something that helps people spiritually.

I love these and plan to make some. Thank you for the tutorial. The best part, though, is that you shared the importance of God in your life.

It is December 22nd 2020 and I am watching this tutorial. I ordered two pocket packs a while ago but have been working on projects for Operation Christmas Child and then on actual Christmas presents. My best just lost her son in a car accident last Monday. Needless to say things are really sad right now. But she and I are going to make pocket prayer quilts this weekend to keep our hands and hearts busy and as a way of thanking the Lord for His constant love and for our friends who stay by our sides through thick and thin. God bless you💕

My daughter and I have been making these for years. Between the two of us we've given out over two thousand. Sometimes people are having a hard time and they just need a little reminder or pick me up. I give out a lot at the hospital since I'm there all the time with my husband. I've made them with military colors, fire fighter colors, and police colors. Sometimes people just need them like an extra hug. Sometimes people say that's the nicest thing that's happened to them in they don't know how long. My husband has to go to five different clinics including the dentist and I've given one to everyone in their offices. Doesn't take much to make people happy and it's like a compliment, it makes you feel as good as they do. Have a great day❤️

Precious! I have some crosses but have many hearts. My daughter is writing a little poem about hearts and love that I can use. Thank you so much for this idea. God bless and keep you. May HIs face shine upon you and give you peace during this virus.

Hi Jenn! Love your video on how to make pocket prayer quilts. I have a take on that mission of getting crafter, sewers and quilters a desire to make Pocket Quilts for Veterans. Since Veterans are as diverse as America is, I thought about all the faiths and human conditions that can be shared and expressed to Veterans. So I looked online, as it turns up, all on Amazon stores, the best charms to put inside the pocket quilts. So I found the Star of David, the Islamic/Muslim crescent moon as well as eastern practices like Buddhism, Tao, Confuscism, etc. as well as universal human conditions like patriotism with a patriotic star, love; with a heart, and the hand with the eye in the palm, that's about protection. I made up labels for each one of these for folks to print out and cut up and attach them. I and my sewing friend have committed to make up and send out hundreds of these to three dedicated Veteran Healthcare facilities in two different states. If the two of us can make over 1, 200 in the last six months, just think of how many more can. I just figured out how to create a YouTube channel but I did it today and you are the first person I am sending this mission thought out to because you have the BEST video on how to make Pocket Prayer Quilts that I hope turns into a sewing, crafting, quilting movement that can be met for our Veterans. (During COVID-19, we too made face masks for those in need! We are kindred folk. From Feb. 2020 to Nov. 2021 I made 4, 500 and they were 4 ply with pliable nose, reversible, washable and fitted. Made up quite a few sizes for face sizes 2 years old to 99. Not one was ever sold.) Hope you know that there are a lot of folks out there that appreciate you making this video and I refer folks to it all the time. Want to put it up on our new YouTube Channel that I just put up this morning. Bless you and thank you Jenn. Take care.

I love these and plan to make some for my sister's church. They love to have things to give parishioners who are ill or grieving. I might try to stencil the prayer directly on the back fabric.

This is a lovely idea! I can't wait to make some to give out. I know a lot of people who are scared, hurt financially or ill and this would be like a "worry stone" or extra reminder that they are cared for. Thanks for sharing! I'd love to see more things like this shared.

Thank you for your time and effort to post this tutorial, well done by the way. I've read the other posting and everyone has supper great ideas of ways to share the Pocket Prayer Quilts. I came across your tutorial by accident, but I think it was a divine appointed accident because I am excited to get started on this project. I think I shall give two to each person, one for them to keep and one for them to share.
