The Top: I don't agree with many of your comments, because I think you are romanticizing and anthropomorphize animals. However in the part that begins at 9:26, I agree with you. I recognized the breed as a Great Pyrenees mix. I have had two dogs who were mixed breeds with 1/2 Great Pyrenees and my service dog is 1/2 Australian cattle Dog and 1/2 G. P. She is very sensitive to when I am endangering myself and has an instinctual reaction to both my surroundings and my current condition. I was either lucky or there is a lot more to the GP breed than a stock guardian dog. I cannot overpraise her, both as a companion, a protector and a service dog, She has never bitten anyone and views all people as friends, but she positions herself between me and harm then barks loudly until she is sure I am not in harms way. She also wakes me when I am having nightmares, then she stays beside me until I fall back to sleep.
