James Horner Composed this masterpiece when he was 29 years old. Incredible.

"Firemares!! Firemares could travel over a thousand leagues in a day!" Absolutely one of the most iconic cues, and Mr. Horner's score in its entirety lifted Krull from something that could have been somewhat pedestrian to the heights of 80's swords & sorcery greatness.

No one used French horns like James Horner. Just a master.

What this song promises:
1. Ceaseless adventure.
2. An epic journey.
3. Merry bands of adventurers.
4. Gallant heroism.
5. Rewards in gold and jewels.
6. Evil to be conquered.
7. Princesses to save.
8. Mead. Lots and lots of mead.

I so miss James Horner. His music will live forever. One of the three greats in cinematic history: James Horner, John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith.

Rest In Peace, King James Horner. You're version of Krull and Aliens will always be the best. May your music guide you on your magical journey.

This piece of music is amazing and is from the part of the movie when they need to reach the Black Fortress very quickly, so they tame the firemares - very fast flying horses. It amazes me that this film is not known about by more people, as it is one of the best films made at a time that was a golden era of film making. The part where the harp is playing is when the horses take off and it still makes my eyes water thinking about it now.

It's not the movie we needed. It's the movie we deserved.

This composition is the very definition of epic. I was lucky enough to be a kid and teenager in the 80's. And the names John Williams, James Horner, Jerry Goldsmith and John Barry were the music I grew up on. These were my Beatles. My Rolling Stones. The geniuses who expanded my mind and showed more possibilities in music. Horner introduced me to Prokofiev. Williams introduced me to Berlioz and Goldsmith introduced me to Stravinsky. Just to name a few.
