I ATTEND A CLASSIC CAR AUCTION IN THE SOUTH OF ENGLAND! SWVA

Welcome back all,

In this weeks video I head back down to Poole in Dorset to attend South Western Vehicle Auctions, first classic car sale of 2025. I really enjoyed my first visit to SWVA back in October (2024), I knew that these auctions were going to become a regular occurrence in my calendar/schedule.

The lots offered at the sale were mainly affordable classics, with hardly any featured breaking the bank! I had my eye on multiple cars but unfortunately I'm trying to downsize my fleet of 7 vehicles at this present time.

The staff at SWVA are very approachable and always happy to help. They had a strong start to the year with a 90% sale rate and I hope this continues for them throughout this year.

There seems to be some confusion. When I said, £1000 to register to bid. This is a DEPOSIT, if you win a classic car, this £1000 gets taken off your total bill. If you do not win/buy a vehicle, the £1000 automatically goes back into your bank account 👍🏻

Corrado VR6 Storm for me, although the Jetta GTI, BMW estate, Mondeo ST24 and ST170 were all amazing!

That Sierra was given away. Absolutely beautiful. Loved the Volkswagen Corrado aswell. But I'd pick the end of line Sierra as the car of the show.

On the mondeo st24, although the body kit is standard the rear lights are definitely not. My bet is they're from halfords! The Sierra was really nice. I had a 1.8 back in the day, brilliant car..

Thanks for another interesting video Mitch, the Corrado is a 2.9ltr with 190bhp the Golf VR6 is a 2.8 with 178bhp why VW did this goodness knows 👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I can’t believe how little that Metro went for. What a brilliant auction house, loads of great cars there. I loved that Sierra Azure. So many cars kept in original nick, which I really like. Nice one Mitch, another great video mate.

Love the Metro. Learned to drive in one! Had a Sierra too. Couple of years older than this one which had just come out.

The Mondeo ST24 lights are aftermarket.
The Corrado VR6 has a 2.9 litre engine with 190bhp.

nice work again Mk2... good to see some non Fords as well :) (on my 4th one....) the jetta gti could be very good buy as long as sound... saw one at a show last summer, talked to the owner shame so few left..ST24 still unloved somewhat lets hope that changes

Hey Mitch my two favourite cars that you looked at were the Vauxhall Nova GTE and the Ford Focus ST 170 I can't believe how cheap that Ford Mondeo ST24 was.

Cor that green Zodiac estate was gorgeous I actually liked the ratty patina not so perfect look to it to if I’m honest was very cool what a fab car 👍

Interesting collection of classics, think that Nova went for above book price, needed a bit of work to make it a minter.
