“Our partnership with Islington Giving goes much further than just funding. We do a lot of close collaboration, and it means a lot to our team to be able to support the community we work and live in.” ~ Kate Vandenburg, Business Design Centre and Islington Giving Board member
The Morris Charitable Trust was established in 1989 to provide support for charitable causes. It was founded by the Morris Family whose businesses, Business Design Centre Group Ltd and Business Design Centre Ltd, are based in Islington.
The Morris Charitable Trust is a founding member of Islington Giving, and has been instrumental in bringing the vision of the original campaign to life. In addition to contributing via the Trust, the Morris family and staff at the Business Design Centre have supported Islington Giving’s work through staff fundraising and pro-bono support.
In 2014 the BDC team took part in an Angel-to-Angel bike ride from the Angel, Islington to the Angel of the North to raise money for Islington Giving. In 2022 they also supported the Big Bike appeal, a campaign to provide newly arrived Ukrainian refugees with bikes, offering their building as the hub for the project. The team have also supported with marketing and promotion during our annual appeals.
Watch Kate Vandenburg, Marketing & Communications Director at BDC, talk about her partnership highlights, projects that she has been involved in, and the impact of partnering with Islington Giving.
