Ilford XP2 Super - My fave - morning, noon & night 🇯🇵

You should shoot Ilford XP2 Super every day, all day. Imagine changing your ISO from 200 to 400 to 800 on the same roll. No need to imagine, you can do this. I’ve done this so many times with great success. See, I might be shooting in the morning, noon and night and things have gone perfectly because the film just does what it’s designed to do, be a great stock in all situations.

And I love this review on analog cafe. It really dives deep into how the film is created and more. Super cool.

Well, that really really didn't suck. The music was icing on the cake.

One of your Best! I'm not into shooting black and white, but I am really into your b/w compositions!

My favourite film, having tried so many others. With my M3 plus 50mm Summicron APO I get results just as good as my M10M (which I don't really use anymore), and just using the Sunny 16 Rule.

Thanks for the great images and review, short and to the point.

Thanks for the content! It's good that many people are returning to film, and it's good that there are people who talk about it!

These are really good photos Jason! I love your enthusiasm too, it really shines through in the video - you're like a cool film photography Jeff Goldblum haha! Keep up the good work mate.

I am a big fan of XP2... also, love the convenience of C41. Just got some 120 back today and the blacks are just so "textured". Great for low key portraits. Love your shots! I even have some XP1 that expired in 1994 left! I made a video about using that in a Yashica LM from 1959 on my channel.

Hi mate. Thanks for this vid. Just ordered a bunch of this film in 35mm and 120. Can't wait to shoot it. I'm on the Chiba Pacific Coast these days but been in JP for more than 30 years and done my time in Tokyo. Appreciate your content, bud!

Love XP-2! I shoot 120 in my mamiya 6 with a 50mm lens at EI 100. The negs are so easy to print or scan! Sharp, grain free, and man oh man is that latitude amazing!

Nice work displayed in your video! Spent some time in Tokyo recently, shooting Polaroid. What a blast! Can’t wait to get back there!

I've just shot my first roll of XP2 Super and I'm a complete novice to photography let alone analog photography and the pictures turned out great.

I have a roll of XP2 just sat on my desk and I can see from your images I need to put this through one of my cameras but which one?
That is my dilema..🤔😲😁

I like XP2 also, and often develop it in B&W chemistry. Doing so gives it a different look with almost no grain.

Besutiful pictures, damn. And the grain is tasty.

Great work. Love the music in your vids, not sure if the algorithm appreciates copyrighted music and reduces your coverage. You certainly deserve more subs ! YouTube can be cruel and clumsy !

Great video. Just picked up 4 x 36 rolls for £28 = $34 here in the uk at Boots which I think must have been a mistake and can’t wait to try it out!

Got that film too and hope it can be developed via HC110 developer. Fingers crossed cause I think I made a mistake not buying just the standard HP5..

My all time favourite film, what’s the music from

I want to try shooting with this film. If I change the ISO mid-roll—say from 400 to 200, or vice versa—how should I develop it? Should I treat it as ISO 200 or ISO 400 for development?
