suggestion: you should post about what if the world was cats in this world everyone would be cats and would make money by sittimng in the sun all day and playing with cat toys and meowing. I think this would be a really good idea!

Bragging about being a "gore fan" is the corniest lamest shit ever. You can hope the kids grow out of it but like the 30+ year old adults making that their brand is embarrassing.

Why can’t people just be normal on the internet?

Actively consuming gore is just psychological self harm
Edit:
I see many people sharing how this kind of content at an early age has affected them later in life. So I’d like to share mine also.
I personally only had one problem with it:
I felt like such media being spread on the internet was disrespectful to the victims.
However I also have another strong belief: acting like violence doesn’t exist doesn’t make it go away.
This combined with the fact I knew people who did have a problem with gore, means I have watched some every now and then.
It has never affected me greatly, it has only made me somewhat desensitized (which I don’t consider an achievement, but rather a burden).
The biggest problem: some of the videos I have watched, are like burnt into my retina. It isn’t enough that I consider it trauma, but enough that I can occasionally recall them in great detail.
It doesn’t just make me uncomfortable, it makes me outright existential in a dreadful way. All those things I have watched, they could all have happened to someone I know, or to me.
That’s what makes me regret ever watching them. I also fear that if I am ever exposed to situations alike in real life, this awful desensitization will make me underestimate the situation and cause harm.

ai always has an uncanny style and movement, it just looks and feels wrong. But putting gore, something i witnessed on the internet at a young age, is insane.

IDK how I avoided gore as a kid, but it just sucks that so many kids are gonna be exposed to gore and become more apathetic.

I remember last week in maths class, this guy showed me a photo of someone with their whole face peeled and cut off. To the point of showing the muscles on the face and the structure of their teeth and their eyeballs were bulging out. I just remember scolding him and just like that everyone when back to acting normal. Some people even laughed about the image.

I still think about the image even a week later. I don't know if it was real, I don't know where a 14 year old boy could have found that image and I don't know why another human being would ever want to do such a thing to another person. Their eyes looked so hollow and sad.

As someone was subjected to gore from a young age it's seriously disheartened to know that the new generation of kids might follow in my footsteps. Seriously they're already brain dead zombies who struggle to read and do basic functions let alone them being so emotionally desensitized to things around them

Ronnie McNutt was the first and only gore video I've seen. It left me traumatized. I can't here gunshots in Television or Movies anymore without being transported to that moment and feeling almost as if I was there when it happened. I may act like a hard ass and say that stuff doesn't affect me, but it does. It has made my life harder, and it has ruined action movies and shows for me. There's not a day that goes by without it popping up in my head and I start feeling light headed/nauseous.

tbf. that “oh i’ve seen it” “i’ve seen worse” stuff has been happening irl for awhile. it’s how i started watching gore stuff in middle school or even like 2 girls 1 cup or 1 man 1 jar/screwdriver. it’s ppl at school talking abt it and then you go see it and could go down a rabbit hole. just feels bigger now but even without all that social media it was still happening

As someone who used to watch gore videos as a teenager out of morbid curiosity, I really hope Tik Tok does something about this quickly because these videos are no joke and can cause some serious trauma.

My problem with people who enjoy gore is that almost 9/10 they want to traumatize others with gore too. Like I have a friend who watches gore all the time and he’s constantly trying to show me despite me telling him 100+ times that shit horrifies me. It’s to a point where I don’t really talk much with him anymore because of this, and if I do, he lies to me and pretends he’s going to show me something funny and then he shows me gore. Like it’s up to you to decide if you want to watch that stuff, but y show someone who clearly doesn’t enjoy it like you do?

I had searched up "storytime" to watch while I draw, and I was greeted by litteral CSAM audio with minions 'covering' it. The worst part is that when I reported it, TikTok didn't find anything wrong with the video. I'm definitely talking to my therapist because even hearing that made me bawl. Disgusting, truly.
