Really appreciate this review, looking for a phone for my 10 year old and didn’t want to spend too much on a Samsung, this will do perfectly.

I have had mine for 2 years. It overheats a lot (always has) and the camera isn't the best however it does get the job done.
Must be said that the keyboard is now different. It's a little softer now with rounded edges.

I've just bought 1 and the only problem I've had is trying to watch stuff in YouTube in "big screen" mode. The possessor (I assume) appears to struggle, you get good audio but bad, jumpy video and so it negates the large screen advantage

Decided to buy it from Argos as I wanted an unlocked one.cost £140 but for a large screen phone it's worth the money. Very happy with it. Performs really well for what is still basically a cheap large screen phone.

I have an issue with this phone sending what's app voice messages. They are extremely quiet and barely audible upon playback by me or recipients. Anyone else had this issue? Apparently its also an issue with the Google pixel too.

Thanks for the review. I saw this in ASDA store the other day 114 quid unlocked to any network - you say 88 quid from TESCO, that sounds good to me mate, would it be unlocked sim free from TESCO too do you reckon?

I want to ask first about those megapixel camera resolution you mentioned there. Did u say 13mp rear camera? - is that true 13mp rear resolution though or do you reckon its interpolated (you know like its true 8mp but interpolated to 13mp) ?

I would also like to ask about if it has a front notification LED for missed calls and texts and charging LED indicator?

Camera quality great/passable? - I know its not gonna be as brilliant as a samsung say for the price but is it grainy/blurry /bad colours?

the sound? is it nice n loud? does it have anything like JBL speakers like the Alcatel POP 4 PLUS phone has? - am torn between this and the POP 4 5.5" PLUS phone, but the 6" screen on this does sound very tasty!!

to me now, I know you say it appeal to older people because of large keyboard, but the appealing thing to me as a 52 year old is my eyes are shot and I am long sighted, and I should be wearing glasses more but the thig that appeals to me with these big phones is that I can see the writing / text much better on these big phones - my wifes Samsung Galaxy S6 with a 5" screen I think it is, well the writing on that is so blurry!

I currently own a very aged Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with a smashed front screen, still working ok, like the camera quality but its getting laggy. I wonder if I get this A3 XL if I will regret from changing from the Note 3 to this phone. I suppose the only thing to do is just get one. you could read a million reviews on something but I think unless you have it in your hand and give it a bit of use yourself you are never going to know whether you are really gonna like it or not.
