I sat for my CPC Exam on the 16th and passed!! 🎉 Thank you for your tips. I want to share what I took away from the exam and the CPC self paced prep course I purchased through AAPC.. My biggest piece of advice is get to know your ICD10 and CPT books like the back of your hand. Almost everything you could need to know is in those books, including anatomy illustrations that can help you answer a lot of the questions. The biggest thing is to read and highlight and tab your chapter guidelines!!! This saved me, especially regarding questions about Diabetes and HIV. Good luck to everyone testing in 2024.

Thank you for the info. I’m starting over in my 50’s, and looking at options. This definitely fits the bill!

Hi Victoria I want to thank you for all the help you provided me. I went to a technical school to learn medical billing and coding. I can say I didn't learn anything, I was feeling less than confident about taking my exam. I started watching your videos and I learned so much. I was disappointed as to how little I had learned in school. Because of your help I was able to get my certification and feel confident when I took my exam. I couldn't have done it without you, thank you for all the help you provide with your videos.

Thank you for all of your wisdom you've shared here!

I just graduated and passed my cpc with an 82! I was first one done in my class and that actually made me so nervous that I failed! I graduated in August and got my results in the beginning of September. However I am finding it nearly impossible to find a job! I’m really struggling and afraid I will forget how to code. I’m starting today to listen to videos while I work. I’ve been job hunting through linked in, temp agencies, indeed and more every day. My resume looks great. I’m starting to feel a little defeated !

I'm currently a veterinary technician who's very burnt out emotionally and physically. My sister does medical coding, and she's encouraged me to go into it as well. Everything definitely fits the bill. Gonna binge your videos!

I start my medical coding course at my local community college in a few weeks ! Total cost for the course was about $975 (not including books, im sure those are gonna be expensive tho) and its totally online. You can take an optional online internship for an additional $400-$500. My school actually has an apprenticeship program, but only thing is they are having a hard time finding employers to take on apprentinces.

I totally agree, I wish I knew then what i know now. I would have definitely obtained my CPC first before my COC. with 8 years of JUST outpatient facility coding, I guess it's not enough to land me a job now. I've applied to at least 50 jobs and have been shot down over and over again, it's becoming depressing, that I started studying for the CPC now again in my later years:(

I am absolutely thrilled I came across your channel! It’s so amazing of you to lay out every aspect of this career for those who are interested in it, AND you provide a free class?? THANK YOU! Due to health conditions, I had to do a rapid career change in my mid 20s, and my mom (who’s in the medical field) told me about medical coding. There was minimal information online but I got the gist and was semi excited. After watch your videos, i am ECSTATIC to start this journey!

I have been certified since June of this year and I just can't seem to even get an interview. Everyone seems to want experience, which I don't have (I am currently a vet tech). I am loosing hope and I just don't know what to do.
