The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra (Razr Plus 2024 in the US) has been so fun to review. It's stylish, the cover screen is supremely useful, and it packs enough power for smooth performance while keeping its cool under pressure. So while the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is more specced out for gaming and has better cameras, Motorola's struck a winning balance of next-level design and a world-class cover screen to give it the flip phone edge for 2024.

I have the Z Flip 5 and now I'm ready to buy the RAZR. Why? The cover display on the Flip is basically just a smartwatch. Working in IT requires us to use 2FA to authenticate platforms from time to time. This is impossible with the cover display as the Flip CANNOT interact with notifications. Motorola's approach is basically having an extension of your main display which is the whole point of getting a decent Flip phone.

Samsung fans are jumping on the software update to protect the Flip 6 but who can use a phone for 7 years without buying a new one? The success of the Razr it is based on the price for both models the 50 and the 50 Ultra much cheaper than the Flip 6 and still enjoyable

Had the Z Flip 5 and order the Moto Razr+ 2024 & Z Flip 6. Moto Razr+ 2024 arrived yesterday and after setting it up to test drive my decision was made. I canceled the Z Flip 6 preorder, including the watch ultra, Buds 3 pros, and Galaxy ring. I just don't like the direction Samsung is going in duplicate apps on the phones, feature locks on devices when not using a samsung phone with their watches, and general lack of imagination on each generation. They have been trending toward Apple with lock ins and I'm just going to call it quits. The audacity to come with the same cover screen on the flip reeks of arrogance. since they don't have any competition here, they just lurch like a slug now. I'm going to diversify my devices that they work with all devices and are not locked into a specific ecosystem.

I have the razr for 2 weeks...i fu****g love it !!! I had the Samsung flip 4 for the last 3 years, i was one click away to buy the 6 but when i saw some reviews on razr i changed my mind.Yeah it doesn't feel as robust as the S6(I checked it in the shop) but the outer screen is 🔥.You can put whatever apps you want, battery life is better coming from S4 is game changing.This year razr won ! Hope this phone to live for at least years !

iPhone user here with a 2nd Consumer Cellular Flip phone. Used to work at Motorola as a contractor of sorts.
The hinge alone justifies a bit extra $$$. Nice compliment to the 13 Mini.

I used both razr+ and flip 6.. Can definitely say razr+ outer screen is fire.. The main reason to buy flip is for the outer screen and Motorola nailed it this year.. Come with something better next year samsung

Absolutely love the Motorola Razr line. I have the Razr + 2023 (Ultra 40) and love it. Wish I would have waited for the Razr + 2024 (Ultra 50) so many beautiful upgrades and the front display is amazing. I use mine all the time and it saves my battery life almost get a day and a half. I'm hoping, when I can upgrade, the Razr + 2025 will have the phone at near perfection.

Got the razr 3 weeks ago. So far, my only complaints are related to android since im coming from and iphone 12 mini. It is a really fun phone to use, and I find myself using the front screen/vidcam mode SO much more than I expected. Also really great for video calls, as it is easy to use the front screen with the good cameras as opposed to the hole-punch.

Based on the reviews I’ve seen this far, I prefer the razr over the galaxy. Knowing the Motorola brand as I do, they could easily dominate the foldable market if they wanted to. 🤷‍♂️

Hey writing this from my razr 50 ultra, so if any one is confused whether to buy it or not, I'll say go for it without any doubt, reasons: best external display I have come across in years, 165 hz really feel good, negligible or no crease can be seen in the phone, clean Android, a more than decent camera, light weight and really good looking and attention grabbing.
