I got mine in 2021. Mechanic at the dealer gave me 2 pieces of advice. Check the chain often. And he said. Just try it before modifying. He was right

I liked the xr650l till I got my XR650R MAN WHAT A DIFFERENCE THE POWER IS NIGHT AND DAY now I can’t ride the xr650l feels slow 😂😂 cheers mate🤘🏼🍻

Keep an eye on the counter shaft sprocket and shaft spline down the road. Put on a XR 650R sprocket. 10 mm wide, the stock one is only 8mm.

It makes it sound different, but actually stock pipe and muffler give more power except at the very top RPM band
