The beauty of this story is that it never spells out who the human was. We’ve all got a good idea of who he was referring to, but it doesn’t date itself by giving the human a fixed identity and lets us simply imagine who he became. I will enjoy listening to this 50 years from now as much as I enjoyed listening to it tonight.
