Hello Martin,

Unless your amp states otherwise, you want to used a matched pair of tubes. When producing vacuum tubes there can be a noticeable variances from one tube to another. That's why most tube manufacturers will test their tubes and pair the ones with similar performance specs together. The performance benefits can be debated, but as most tubes are sold in matched pairs anyways, it's a good idea.

Save yourself some money. I had a guy bring a UA Solo 610 into my studio. I compared it side by side with my ART Digital MPA II, and they sounded IDENTICAL. You'll get TWO channels of digital and analog connectivity for $600 instead of $1400. If you want the portability, get the Focusrite ISA One. It sounds WAY better than the Solo 610.

hi bro, please help me in choosing between ART pro MPA vs Presonus bluetube V2. It is quite confusing as both of them are around the similar price range here for dual channel inputs. Please do compare the signal to noise ratio(or EIN) and dynamic range of both of the units, so that I can choose the better one for upgrading. Thanks :)

I want to buy a tube equipment to give to my entire mix a warmer sound for live concerts, the kind of music is electronic with samples and percution from a laptop and a pair of analog sinths with rich analogue bass sound, the gear is a MacBook Pro conected to a M-AUDIO PROFIRE 610, a MOOG Minitaur, a KORG Minilogue and a Aphex 104 Aural Exiter, all this conected to a mixer, my intention is get a deeper and warmer sound for live sound, Is the Art Pro MPA II the right equipment for de final touch in that chain? or the Art Pro MPA II works only with microphones?.
