The vocalist is seriously under-rated.
His vocals are incredibly resonant and "pitched."
When I listened to the whole album I realized how good he really is.
He writes GREAT lyrics of epic tales and his vocal performance is spot on.
Great performance! Great story teller!

Just saw these guys at Knotfest for the very first time. Never heard of them before that, and holy hell did they steal the show. The winds were blowing strong in San Bernandino, people were rushing the poorly set up gates to reach the general admission pit area while being tackled by security, some people escaped and got lost in the crowd, and there was 3 fires burning on the lawn area with moshers circling the flames. It was the most metal thing I have ever seen.

I saw Amon Amarth for the first time at Knotfest in Australia last week.
They were incredible.
There is a meme that say all Metal heads are angry, yet for their whole performance Johan had the biggest, warmest smile on his face.
You could see he was genuinely feeling the love and energy from the crowd.
