First Ride on Honda CRF 300L Dual Sport

This was my first ever ride on a Honda CRF 300L dual sport dirt bike. I've heard a lot about this bike being good at trail riding, long distance and an all round great bike so when I had a chance to have a go on one I couldn't resist. I've had a lot of Honda motocross bikes in the past but this was the first Honda trail bike I've tested but bare in mind, I'm more use to enduro bikes.

My buddies rode this bike on one of the hardest enduro terrains fully stock and placed in top 10. This bike is more than capable of hard trail riding but 90% of it is based on the rider.

The brakes don’t work!? You left the ABS on for a loose surface trail ride. Something isn’t working, alright…. Come on, this video is almost satirical. You spend a good bit of time talking about the suspension testing on the KTMs. Maybe join those dudes and let someone that isn’t so focused on MX review the 300L. It never claimed to be an MX or enduro bike.

It seems like you simply don't have the competence to appreciate the CRF properly. Your piloting is quite questionable... I'm used to 4 and 2 stroke enduro bikes. I had the opportunity to travel 250 km with a 250L and I can say that I had a lot of fun. It's such an easy bike that you can just accelerate to the maximum without any worries. The engine is smooth, the power is super linear and easy to dose, the engine is smooth, the bike is comfortable and practical. You can go to work early in the morning, drive along some mountain roads and at the end of the day you can go to the trails to get covered in mud, fun is assured. This wonderful comfort brings some inconveniences, of course, but it is perfectly acceptable considering the use for which it was created. The 250/300l is an entry-level dualsport and I can say that it is excellent, I would even consider having one in the garage because it simply does a little bit of everything and is always ready to go, long maintenance intervals, super durable engine, comfortable, etc, etc. . I can accept the soft suspension in exchange for the countless extra benefits. If necessary, the suspension can be prepared by a professional with a different setup for a relatively low cost.
