if i get a 5 star character(not the event one), that means my pity will reset?

does pity always reset to 0 after you get a 5 star character? So if I pull 80 and get a 5 star does that mean i can pull 10 more and get another 5 star at 90 pulls?

So let’s say that I got a 5 star before first 90 pull but is not the featured character, does that mean after it resets pity, my next 5 star is guaranteed the featured character?
