I also upgrade to i3 10100f from i7 3770.
Sold old i7 system + a small topup to i3 10100f.

Performance not much a different but really help smooth out some game that i7 struggle.

No more sutter and lag. Expecially in Detroit Become Human.

Aiming to i5 10400f later this year

I have been surprised running a 12 year old 6c/12t i7 970 with 24gb of ddr3 triple channel with a rx 480. Been playing stray and loving that game, though get some slow down transitioning at times, also the wattage is nearly 50 watts over a i7 3770 which I ordered for $35+ bucks. I already have a lga 1155 for that, looking to use a gtx 1660 super I have for that using a ips 144hz monitor which is fine as I do not game much only twitchy game I play is overwatch and that did fine on x58 too.

Hard to justify going to a new 12th gen or even 10th gen i3 with those pairings for what I play.

Still rocking my i7 3770k and a Sapphire R9 280x Toxic 3gb GPU. My rig does still kill at 1080p on most new titles but definitely getting ready for an upgrade. Really want a 6 core i5 or R5 but until I can get a better GPU at a halfway DECENT price that will have to wait...

The title doesn't make enough sense to me

How much faster i7 9000 and 11/12000 series than the 3770k?

How about re-doing all the testing with lowest preset? The interesting thing here where a comparison between cpus I think. Not whats gpu bound or not with a GTX 1080. Kind of pointless to me since I'm mainly after high framerates with low settings on a budget. :p

Im still enough with i7 4770 (non K) paired with gtx 1660ti, because its not worth it if i upgrade to i3 10105f and the fps difference are pretty close

For a budget upgrade it's the way to go, te new socket give a nice way to go until i9.

At least you now have an upgrade path from the i3.

the conventions have changed via the core/thread count so seeing how a 1 or 2 core anything is now hot garbage the i3 is upped to old i7 and everything else shoveled up from there. eventually you will end up upgrading from a i9 to a i3 if you wait long

Can you tell me what the sustained frequency is during full cpu load? For example, cinebench?

Some motherboards will strictly adhere to the TDP limit and will power limit throttle.

What frequency will it hold onto under sustained load?

Thanks

I dunno man. Doesn't seem so much of a performance boost.

My I7 3770 turbo boosts to 4210 GHz from 3900 Ghz, non K. Doesn't worth the "upgrade" to I3 10100F.

i3 10gen is new beast for 1080p gaming

It is imperative to take 10400 instead of 10100.
The price is slightly higher, but it is 6/12 and that is important.

Did you intentionally go from the 169th fastest CPU to the 69th fastest CPU?
