Covid-19 Lockdowns Doing Much More Harm Than Good?

Back from a much-deserved vacation, Chris dives into the latest coronavirus data and several insights are becoming clear:

1) Covid-19 is so infectious (R0 of 5+) that it will pretty much make its way through a population regardless of the efforts to avoid it

2) But, it only severely affects a small percentage of those who get it

3) And, more interesting, it's appearing that herd immunity happens quickly, at around 15%

This leads to the conclusion that lockdowns may not be worth it. While they may slow the rate of infection spread somewhat, the economic damage they do can dwarf the benefits of that delay.

I'm so disappointed with this video. I've been watching since January. Covid19 ripped through my family. My Aunty died from covid19.
I'm a long hauler. I have yet another kidney infection 5 months since I was diagnosed with covid19.
Very disappointed.
He did an interview only a few weeks back with a lady who got reinfected with covid19. So how has he came to the dangerous conclusion of heard immunity.???

Eradicated in NZ by lockdown. So worked here only cases we have had in the last 3 months where people returning to country and where kept in quarinteen till they past 2 tests 10 days apart so not in the country itself

New York City was able to get above 15 pretty early. I think it was ~20% with 0.4% of their entire population dying. So I don't have much stock in the low herd immunity threshold.
