Not the first to say this, but genuinely very surprised to see this video was only nine days old— feels exactly like an incredibly niche classic YouTube deep cut. Maybe that's because you can really feel how earnest it is, and how much sincere adoration for Slimey was poured into every second of this edit. It absolutely sings off the screen, and that's the best compliment I can give. Also, TMBG and Sesame Street are an absolutely inspired pairing... together, they pretty much composed the entirety of my childhood. Listened to the educational They Might Be Giants: Here Comes Science CD on repeat until I had the words to every song carved into my brain, and then had my mind blown when I discovered Flood and Lincoln in high school and realized those guys made even more music about even more nonsense things. This speaks to me on a very deeply personal level. I'm not sure what compelled you to make this, but it seems like it was an equally personal act of self-indulgence, and I'm very happy to see that it seems to have resonated with so many others, too. Thank you for making this, and happy belated birthday to the coolest worm I ever knew.

You reminded me Slimey existed, I loved him and Oscar as a kid and I was prompted to look into his full story arc now as an adult and he's been my special interest for days.
