If i have a crack right on a shitty c-notch would i be able to get that welded and this done still? A shops telling me it wont be safe to straighten the frame and weld the crack that its safer to cut the end of a new frame and weld it on.

What do you use to measure and make sure the frame went back to being straight instead of still being bent?

People, if you aren’t knowable about metal work, don’t have any common sense like figuring out why things like can be 100% safely rebuilt DONT DO ANYTHING. It’s like any trade craft. But on vehicles and trailers stupid ignorant halfass “repairs” can be deadly. And by law there can be certain requirements to be able to work on and weld on certain types of trucks nd trailers.
