How to make a pull request, according to a junior dev:

1) Ask the repository owner which release branch to branch off from
2) Make a branch from a completely different release branch
3) Make a one-line change
4) Commit code with a generic message (popular choices are "changes", "dev" and "x")
5) Make a pull request to the release branch from Step 1
6) Listen for 30 solid minutes as the repository owner invents 5000 new swear words as he's looking at 120 changed files, 10 deleted files and 50 previously deleted files re-created
7) Take a 2-hour mandatory training session on merge conflicts and proper commit practices

That's wild, I literally was trying to figure out how pull requests worked 1 minute ago. Then the legend himself descended this knowledge upon me. lol

This is great. Especially with our ever decreasing attention spans. Seriously though, I liked it.
Would appreciate more such shorts.

Then there's friends worse than Dan who won't accept the pull request after weeks of not visiting the project LUL.

For larger pull requests, consider pressing the '.' key while viewing the repo. :)

no-one's writing code on a phone, Dan... please don't conform to YouTube trying to shunt people into a TikTok-esque business strategy pivot. love your work but this is a waste of time
